it is said that men go through middle age crisis when they are around 40. I make no exception to it as I am about to embark for the trip of a lifetime. South America has always appealed to me and I am about to go and travel it for more than 6 month. This blog will help me sharing this experience with whomever is interested...

The last...
Because I am leaving for nearly 7 month, I am now doing a lot of things for the last time. Work is one with everyday a new "last". Last Sunday night quiz shift, last opening shift, last closing shift and tomorrow my last shift ever at the White Horse in Haslemere... It is only 4 hours but I know that it will be some of the most special hours in my life. I have spent 18 month working in this pub and it has been a great experience. The pub, the customers, the staff. I know that if I work in pubs on my return- and I do believe I will- These 18 month would have been a huge step in my carrier because of the experience I would have gained.

Introduction
Hi! Like a lot of men coming to my age I have made a drastic decision of going travelling 6.5 month to South America. Because "un dessin vaut mieux qu'un discours", here is the link to show you the route

Vaccination is a winding road...
Ok, here we are. First post of million! It is difficult to decide where to start though as there is a lot going on at the moment.
Last one was finding my second rabies vaccine. When all jabs have been nice and easy (all provided by the nurse), it seems that rabies is THE exception to the rule. Ok, I know it is a French discovery but still... Problem is, there is a shortage of it in England so I had to go to Woking to get it. Took me 2 hours! Only to hear the nurse telling me that, in case of bite, 3 rabies jabs costing me £200 would only give me an extra 24 hours to get to the nearest hospital and get treated. Now, is it worth it? I am really not sure...
