After 50 days, we say goodbye to Brazil and move up north to Venezuela. It is a special time as there president Hugo Chavez has just past away. We aren't sure how the country is going to react...
Unlike the first 3 countries we've been in, it will be short stops in each countries we'll get to now.
Our first stop in Venezuela in Puerto Columbia on the shore. Small fishing village with great beaches and diving spots. It was a really adventure to get there as the roads are very winding and very narrow for our big chunky truck!! Unfortunatly, I had to cancel my diving day as I had to deal with paper work to be sent to France instead. Still a nice chilled couple of days enjoying the beach and local ron...
it is said that men go through middle age crisis when they are around 40. I make no exception to it as I am about to embark for the trip of a lifetime. South America has always appealed to me and I am about to go and travel it for more than 6 month. This blog will help me sharing this experience with whomever is interested...

Canaima and Angel Falls
It is a very exciting time again as we are going to Canaima park. It is overall experience as we have to fly to get to the park in a 6 seats CESSNA plane going over the jungle. During the 2 days we are there, we have a boat trip to small waterfall. It is a beautiful place. We get to walk behind one of them and jump/dive off the cliff next to another. The second day, we are taking another 6 seats plane to get to Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world with 1000m high! It wasn't as spectacular as expected as it is the dry season so not a lot of water and the top was pretty cloudy. It is a great moment anyway as the falls are surrounded by magic scenery with the river, the forest and all the flat top mountains around....
